Thumbs up Thursday...to acceptance, and Tymber Dalton

Acceptance is a big thing in anyone's world. From the little—not everyone likes you/ milk/ dogs etc to the big, life-changing acceptance of something you never thought would happen.

I read Tymber Dalton's Domme By Default and I can honestly say it is the best book I have ever read, and I don't say that lightly. Not because I could see myself in there, I couldn't. Because the way the story is told. her struggles—his struggles—their struggles. It's a very emotional roller coaster ride of a book. The title says it all.

It's not very often I review, comment or contact an author, but in this case I did. Tymber answered (and has been very helpful to me over queries I had) And she added. "This book is somewhat autobiographical, although I never jumped on a plane like she did." (She was good enough to say I could quote her.)

Could I be that brave and bare my soul? I'm not sure, even though everything you write opens up a little bit of yourself to your readers.

Anyway, I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you only buy one book this year, make it this one.

Could you be so open and honest?

Happy reading..

P.S. next week's Thumbs up Thursday will whisk you away to the Indian Ocean...

I've an ebook from my back catalogue going begging to one commenter who tells me what they think I'll be blogging...

  1. Hi Raven

I'm not sure if I could be as open about something like that, but that's just me! I've just checked the book out and it's gong on my to-read pile so thanks for the recommendation!

As for next weeks Thumbs up Thursday, I have no idea what you're going to be blogging. Hmm, The Indian Ocean, I will think about it!

  2. It's very difficult to open yourself to the world completely like that and let your world come into the world you've created. I just did it recently and it scares me to DEATH but I know I'll feel better about actually doing it in the long run. <3

  3. I loved Domme By Default! There are some things I will not share. I have kids and I don't use a pen name, but I tend to be pretty open about things.
