LBGT PRIDE Blog Fest

BE proud

of who and what you are

June is the LBGT Blogfest month

To celebrate you'll find a lot of authors talking about pride on their blogs, and I'm one of them.

When I first started writing, I had no idea just where my voice and my characters were going to take me. All I knew was that anything I wrote would have people who were happy in their own skin, who wore their persona with pride, and encouraged other people to do the same. I think I've succeeded.

Why shouldn't we be proud of who we are and what we've achieved? Each and every one of is is an individual with our own special strengths and weaknesses. Be we straight, gay, lesbian, transgender or bisexual doesn't make one iota of difference to whether we can change a lightbulb or understand quantum physics.

What is does is shape us as a person in our own right. A person who should take pride in themselves, and their abilities.

Let's celebrate our uniqueness. Let's be proud of us.

Let's have Pride!

To celebrate this fabulous month, I'm giving away an eCopy Of each of Teaching Teacher, Riding Ryder and Rian's Return to one commenter. You can read about them, and all my other books, on www.ravenmcallan.com

Happy Reading,

Love Rx

  1. Raven,
Totally with you on this one. I've tried to bring some awareness of transgender issues to light in His Secret Dancer. Gender isn't 0 or 1 - we're all shades of (forgive me...) grey really - between blokey blokes and girly girls. Pride in yourself and tolerance of others is the only way.

  4. :D that's EXACTLY how I'm feeling today. I'm not gay or lesbian, but we all need to accept that we are all not the same. Well done, my lovely.
