#SexySnippets

Hi all, welcome to #SexySnippets.

I'm not the happiest of bunnies this week, as I've done something to my back, and everything hurts. Sitting standing, walking, breathing...

So even typing is a challenge.

However here we are with the 7 sentences...

These are taken from a forthcoming book, Darling Doc which will soon be available from Evernight Pulblishing.

(Sandy is the local GP)

Blurb...

This stuff only happens in romance novels….
After a chance meeting on a crowded tram, Sandy has cause to re-evaluate several things.
1, It is perfectly possible to lust after a stranger.
2, It isn’t only fictional heroines who need to carry spare panties.
3, A man’s voice really can almost make you climax in public.
4, Great sex does exist.
5, Being a doctor can complicate things.

When her chance encounter turns up in her surgery, there is only one thing for it. Grab said hunk and the sex on offer with both hands and don’t let go. Alistair isn’t a patient after all… and what two consenting adults get up to in their spare time can’t be love, or can it?

A few minutes later there was a knock on the door, and boy, was my practice manager right—he was drool-worthy—very dissolve in a puddle drool-worthy.
And I’d seen him before...with his water bottle wedged up my ass.
Give him his due, he looked as surprised as I was—or did he? After all, hadn’t Sandie said he was an actor?
“You’re the doctor?”
I saw even more what my practice manager meant  and I nodded. How the hell could I treat him? Keep it professional, do not jump him.

#MidWeekTease with one of our Awesome Ladies of Orrsholm thinking about sex... (as ever)

Hi all here's this week's #MidWeekTease with another tease from The Awesome Ladies Supper Club.

Where this week, DeAnne is thinking about sex... (when does she not... 🤣🤣 )

This week, we’d decided on a walk up the local hill and a picnic with fizz to celebrate the allegedly coming of summer. And all of us were able to make it.
So here we were sitting on rugs with our backs to a convenient rock or three, swigging Moet, eating pate and dishing the dirt on out so called local hero.
One I knew rather well.
I used to be married to him.
Yep, okay used to is a misnomer, but I reckon people think the divorce went through. It didn’t because he went all pissy, said he wasn’t guilty, everything was a pack of lies, and wouldn’t agree to it. The fact the woman whose name is etched on my brain, Patty-Ann DeGrell, a so called actress, had shouted it to the world and no doubt make seven figure sums out of all her ‘he’s dumped me and I’m heartbroken articles’ didn’t deter him. He just denied it all, said the woman was lying, and get this he loved me and was faithful.
When their pictures were everywhere. Those he added most vociferously were either fake or from their latest film. Did I mention he was a sodding A-list box office money raker-in?
I swear, never get involved with anyone who has an ego that needs stroking. It’s crap. Actually, that’s not fair. And I do try to be fair, even when I’m trashing him. He didn’t have a big ego.
Even so, ego or not, he put up so many bloody rocks and objections to our divorce, I gave up. After all I have no intention of ever getting married again, so a husband somewhere in the world and no doubt shagging whatever he fancied, was nothing to worry about.
So while he shagged, I used my trusty bullet. Actually I’m on number three. No messy breakups, unless you count the time number two expired mid climax and I threw it across the room and broke a vase.
But boy if I’m honest, I miss what I thought we had.
Not just sex, although that is a biggie. I mean plastic or a prick? No contest. Well, actually now I come to think of it, it depends what you mean by prick.

#SexySnippets With those ladies from Orrsholm...or DeAnne muttering about her sort of ex

Welcome to this week's #SexySnippets

7 sentences from a book or WIP...

This week I thought we'd see just what those ladies from Orrsholm are up to in a little more detail... (check my latest #MidWeekTease for info)

#MidWeekTease wth the Orrsholm Ladies Supper Club...

Hi all, and Happy New Year to those of you I've not caught up with yet.

Welcome to the first #MidWeekTease of the New Year.

I'm in the strange situation of not having a book out until sometime in February, and then not until May.

So I had a dilemma. What to tease you with. After all, you'd all be sick to death of my romance on the Go that's due out next month, if I tease from that until then, and ditto my Katy Lilley chick lit.

I'm busy with a Regency, that was a 14K novella and is to be a 70K novel eventually, but Hmm... That will be out even later.

So instead I've got an idea. I do have them and sometimes they are even sensible...sometimes. Is this one of them? I'll leave you to judge.

Anyway,  for the next couple of weeks you have the dubious honour of reading this...

And I have no idea where it is going...

Do you know how hard it is living in a place whose name was written Orrsholm, and pronounced Awesome?
How many times you heard... ‘pity you don’t live up to the name eh,’ and ‘is it awesome is and awesome does, then?’  Even one snotty, ooops sorry snooty tourist saying... ‘Aww, this place needs some... Dynamite maybe...’
Bastard.
We might be small, and to many a dirty mark on the map, but to me and around a 100 other souls it was home.
And to around half a dozen of that number, the place where the Orrsholm Ladies Supper club met every Friday afternoon.
Yes I know you don’t have supper on an afternoon, but really you couldn’t call it the Orrsholm Ladies TGIF let’s get pissed and trash men club, now could you?
So, me (I’m DeAnne by the way,) Brandie, Carol, Marylou, Sandy and Rhonda, decided we’d try to be a bit circumspect.
Not easy I tell you. After all we’re all forty-something, self sufficient and no significant others to worry about.
That doesn’t mean we’ve sworn off sex, just permanence.
Why Friday afternoon? Well, strangely we all finish work at lunch time on a Friday. So around 3pm wherever we decide to rock up works perfectly.
This week, we’d decided on a walk up the local hill and a picnic with fizz to celebrate the allegedly coming of summer.
So here we were sitting on rugs with our backs to a convenient rock or three, swigging Moet, eating pate and dishing the dirt on out so called local hero.

The Gluten Free Author's guide to goodies or not in ... *Drum Roll* Hong Kong (TST to be precise)

Hello once more and a happy new year to you all.

This post is long overdue but things like wrapping presents and cooking  (and eating) too much food—g-f of course—got in the way.
But at last, here's my own, this is what works for me, in TST, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

(Night view from TST across to Hong Kong Island)

Now to anyone who knows me, it's no surprise when I say that Hong Kong is my favourite city in the word. I love it. The people the attractions, the noise, bustle, quiet parks and sheer vibrancy of it all. And over the years, the growth of good places to get G-f food without having to eat salad, no dressing.

Any native would be able to tell you so much more than me. i'm just going to let you know my favourite places. It's more TST because that's where we stop, and where I wander around more.

This year I discovered Above and Beyond in the Hotel Icon. Where you get a choice of gluten free menus. You have to ask and choose in advance but ohh my goodness. It is proper Chinese food and superb.

(A bit fuzzy but this was my menu)

Every mouthful was superb. I'm salivating thinking about it.

I also discovered a new to me Italian. La Taverna on Ashley Rd. I believe it's the oldest Italian restaurant in Hong Kong, but this year was my first visit. And I had a fabulous Spaghetti Bolognese. It hit the spot, I tell you. Perfect. I was so full I even turned down desert.

If you're a spaghetti and pizza fan, you've now got the option for pizza in Pizza Express in the K11 Mall as well. Not that long ago you had to go to Causeway Bay for g-f Pizza Express. Okay the toppings are a bit weird, but its pizza!

Spazzo (Empire Centre, Mody Rd TST) is a brilliant example of G-f Italian food as well. Not cheap but oh so tasty. And weather permitting you can sit outside and watch the traffic...

Hutong does a great G-f tasting menu, but I can't eat it all. And, I have to say I prefer the food at Above and Beyond, tho yeah Hutong wins on the view and the loos.

The Chin Chin bar in K 11 has a great BBQ (not Sunday if I remember correctly)  and the corn snacks you get with your drink are great. (I recommend happy hours 6-9 for 2-4-1 drinks) And the music is good as well. (Now April singing used to be Chinnee (sp) )

As for snacks? Well, good old M % S comes up trumps there. Bread, biscuits (take out a second mortgage) and take away salads. I love getting a meal deal and sitting in Kowloon Park with it and a good book. Or of course going down to the waterfront and watching the Star Ferry and everyone taking photos.

(Nope not the Star Ferry but I just love to see this junk)

Of course the supermarkets now have g-f flour and stuff, and lots of small bakeries and so on are around. But as a tourist, who has been lucky enough to explore Hong Kong over the years, these are my tried and tested favourites. Most good hotels do g-f bread, and are great about doing their best to avoid cross contamination.

I'll just add my fail safe. Steak... Steak and salad if I can't get g-f chips. As my lovely husband says, Wooloomoolo steaks are blooming good.

Am I ill? On occasion. Usually because I've risked eating something that might have been in contact with gluten. But that was my fault. The restaurants are great at explaining that situation. But sometimes chips just have to be eaten...
And on that note I'm off for some food...

Take care, enjoy your g-f goodies and happy eating,

love Raven xx

Ps Yuma near The Star Ferry terminal in Central is darned good as well, and they can give you g-f soy sauce.

#SexySnippets with a bit of something new... On a beach with a naked man

Hi all, and welcome to the last #SexySnippets of 2017

This year has gone so fast. So many #SexySnippets to hopefully tease and tantalise you all.

Today, my 7 sentences come from a new and as yet unnamed story... in my Naughty Forties series (if it's accepted of course) which starts with Evernight Publishing in February.

Sandie has finally given her ex the elbow and taken herself off on a sabbatical.

Shit, and all those other cuss words I say under my breath in times of stress or whatever. This is definitely one of those times.
After all, how often do you go for an early morning stroll on the beach, find yourself with a canine companion, and then see a naked bloke wading out of the sea.
One who the dog rushes towards and dances around like a dervish—or as if he's about to unman the poor bloke—and who—the guy not the dog, though the dog is as well—unashamedly male and proud if it?
Hell on wheels, my heart missed a beat. What a splendid specimen of manhood, as my mum used to say.
His cock was long and thick and stood out from his body, poised for action and waving hello. Why the hell wasn't I running in the opposite direction scared for my life?
