I'm so pleased to say that at the moment I have two books out in January, two in March and one in May. If I get my act together there could be more.
Very happy.

Seven years ago, I'd never have believed I'd still be writing or had so many books out.To everyone who supported me, who still supports me, a very big thank you.
No, none are under my 'real' name, but I have no problem about anyone knowing it. However, I find it helps to have pen names. I put that 'hat' on, get into the mindset, and start writing.

So we have Raven for hotter romance, Kera Faire for dark romance, and Katy Lilley for sweeter romance.

I mustn't forget J. Lilley for YA either.

(You can find them all on Amazon,

under whichever pen name you want to look at)

Writing is something I love. I was very fortunate that when I was first published, my then publisher let me try my hand at whatever I fancied. (Thank you Breathless Press) This gave me the chance to discover what I preferred, what I was okay at and yes, what not to touch with a bargepole.

There's nothing nicer than having the opportunity to discover your strengths and weaknesses.

I know I love Regency, adore writing stories set in places I've lived in or visited all around the world, can't write sci-fi or horror, and seem to be migrating to sweeter stories most of the time. Not all of the time though *wink*

Of course not everyone likes what I write, and that's fine. We all have our likes, dislikes and preferences. But that won't stop anyone who wants to write. We just grit our teeth, smile sweetly and get on with it. I tink in the first place, if you have writing in your blood, you write and hope others will read it. But you can't not write.

After all, what can be better than a coffee and a good book?

and on that note, I'm heading back to write

Want to know what? Ah well, you'll have to wait and see...

Happy Reading,

love Raven, Katy, Kera and J

#SexySnippets with a man on a mission

This week it's seven sentences from this unnamed Dark Isle I'm writing (as Kera Faire)

Aiden Fox, usually known, revered and feared in equal measures as Fox or The Fox, scanned the emails sent to him, swore and cussed one Michael Hoult. He was becoming a nuisance.
First of all the man had left the covert group Fox had overseen—unknown—then turned up as a bloody Dispatcher.
Now he was certain someone was intercepting his emails and he wouldn’t bet his pension to insist it wasn’t Hoult.
The irony was he had the intention of using the dispatchers not dispersing them like his lord and masters thought he would.
Maybe it was time to turn the situation to his own advantage. Rapidly Fox began to type...as from the date ascertained, it will change for it is as it was feared the... and sent it unfinished.

#SexySnippets time. With an explanation about sex and love.

Although I had a book out last week
(The Earl and the Courtesan, Totally Bound)

And
The Carpenter, a Kera Faire, Death Isle book is out on Tuesday
(from 23rd May)

Today's #SexySnippets is from neither.
I figured you're probably ready for a change.

"Sex without love? It's fine if that's what you want, but for me, it's like coffee no cream, Fred, no Barney,  or well Baby no Johnny. Just wrong, sterile, bland, missing something and mechanical. But with us it's not just not sex, it's making love. Two halves of one whole."

"I know. That's why I'm here in your arms, sated, happy and oh so well loved, we know the difference."

(WIP as yet unnamed.)

#SexySnippets with the ladies of Death Isle...

Well now, it's Mothering Sunday here in the UK, so I'm not cooking.

Which has nothing to do with #SexySnippets.

Which has nothing to do with cooking but it does in a roundabout way have something to do with mums.

As I've just received my fantastic cover for The Furnace Man, (Kera Faire, my dark side) the latest Death Isle story, and It's released on Wednesday 29th (if you are reading this on Sunday that's only 3 more sleeps) of course my #SexySnippets has to come from there.

Don’t piss off the furnace man.
It might be a standing joke around the glass factory— he’ll mix you with the sand and burn you, leaving nothing left to discover—but Lindsey Earnshaw is about to find out the truth behind it.
Placed there to spy on the place on behalf of the government, a warning message brings forth not only a dead body, but also the one man she’s never forgotten.
Michael Hoult cannot believe his eyes, when his ex-wife turns out to be the receptionist on duty. Having to drug her in order to not blow his cover will not earn him her renewed submission, neither will whisking her away to the Death Isle.

Duty first, though. It cost him his marriage all those years ago, but with Lindsey now working for the same side, can they not only catch a killer, but also rediscover each other?

(Lindsey and the ladies of Death Isle have just enjoyed an evening together...
slightly adapted for #SexySnippets so you get the gist...)

Lindsey looked from one to other of her new friends and smiled —they had livened up her evening, given her support and advice and, she accepted, would run interference if needed. Even if it got them into trouble with their Sirs and Masters. For each had admitted their relationships with their menfolk, given her an insight into living with a Dom who was also a Dispatcher, and how they coped living on an island in the middle of a loch.
It all sounded perfect, but would she have the chance to experience it?
The clock whirred as the hands moved. The knock on the door made each one of them jump.
Astrid smiled at Lindsey. “Over to you.”

#MidWeekTease and I hope a tease from Loch Lomond—and The Dispatcher

I say hope because I have a new lap top and even though the make is the same, this was bought in the UK and my previous one in Hong Kong, so the keyboard is different.
I keep going for — and getting``– and instead of # I got £. Interesting at least, but not when I'm trying to type #MidWeekTease.
So, I'm going to get on with it whilst I can.

And I'm taking you back to where it all began, on an island on Loch Lomond.

Meet Darke. He's The Dispatcher. (Someone has to do the dirty work)

Her life or his?
When Astrid Mickelson found out the man she loved was The Dispatcher—a government operative, who kills for a living without remorse—she left to stop herself from accidentally betraying him. However, Orlando Darke, the only man she’s ever wanted, is impossible to forget, and it seems once more back in her life.
For his part, the Dispatcher had never forgotten the love of his life. When he is sent to bring her in for being a traitor, he does what he does best… dispatching her to safety, to enable him to find the real culprit.
As the threat thickens, so does the sexual tension between them. Can there be a happy outcome or will they be parted again, this time for good?

With The Dispatcher’s boss hot on their trail, things are not looking good.

Your #MidWeekTease~

The boat rocked as he jumped back aboard and made his way to her side. “Right, next stop, ‘The Island’. He turned the wheel and notched up the revs as they left the shoreline and edged into the loch. A groan made her jump.
“What was that?”
Darke chuckled. “The parcel seems to be awake.” He put one arm around her and rubbed her lower body over his crotch. His erection dug into her belly and Astrid shivered as her pussy muscles did their shimmy and shake act they preferred whenever Darke was around. If she wasn’t careful her nipples would poke through all five layers of clothing that covered them. Not only that, her knickers felt damp and chafed her skin.
Oh God, not now. I don’t have time to dissolve in a pile of drool and beg to be screwed. I. Do. Not. Stop it already. Hold on…. “He’s alive?”
“Yeah, I want answers. The fucker drew his gun, so I shot his bollocks off. Bound him up though, pumped him full with antibiotics and he’ll live… for now.”
“You know you never said what you did before you do what you do now,” Astrid said slowly.
He chuckled once more. “Nor I did. Let’s just say I’ve broken my Hippocratic oath more times now than I’ve kept it.”
Ahh. That explained a lot. She’d wondered how he was so competent with that damned syringe. “Right.” Astrid decided not to ask more.
“Have I shocked you?” he asked in a voice devoid of emotion.
Astrid considered his words. Had he? “Actually, to my surprise, no you haven’t. At least you know what you’re doing when you do it. And in a strange way I admire you for doing what you think is right.”
“No admiration due, babe. I’m not a nice guy. I kill for a living. Clean up what other people shun. Work for a boss who I now know at best has a traitor in his group, and he’s done fuck all about it, or at worst, he may well be the traitor and have no fucking morals at all.” He sounded disgusted. “I might be a killer but I’m loyal and I’d never ever double cross my country. It seems someone has.”
Astrid stretched up and kissed the lobe of his ear. It was Darke’s turn to groan. “Hell and furies, babe, do that and I’ll want you to go down on me before I fuck you senseless. Every way and every way.”
She giggled. Oh God she loved him. Love? Love. No two ways about it. Astrid made her mind up and carefully bit, kissed, and licked his lobe before she dropped to her knees. “Can this thing steer itself?”
“Sadly no. We’ll end up going round in circles.”
The parcel groaned again.  Darke kicked it and it went silent. “I hate things that don’t know there’s a time and a place for everything,” he said casually. “Hopefully that’ll do the trick for a while. You were saying, babe?”
“Bugger. Well can you steer it with other things going on?” Please say yes. She was so wet her knickers were soaked and her thighs coated with her essence. Not that going down on him and giving him a blow job would help that state of affairs per se but it would be bloody exciting.
“Yes. I’m a multi-tasker, you know that. Why?”
“Wait and see,” she purred and unsnapped his black denims.
