Kirsten thought her life was over when she met Mac, ‘the Jeweller’, a government sanctioned dispatcher.

Instead it was just beginning.

Admittedly, being kidnapped, tied up, and tortured with sexual pleasure might not have been the best beginning for a relationship, but their instant connection cannot be denied.

There is only the not so small matter of Mac’s job to consider.

He cannot possibly condemn Kirsten to a life lived in the shadows, because there would never be a chance off escape.

She was surprisingly heavy, and Mac grunted as he hefted her higher and walked between the craggy rocks to a tiny clearing he’d discovered. As the island—fucking rock was the description he preferred—was no more than a mile or so across, heavily sloped and wooded, this four by eight foot treeless space was the only reasonably flat area at this end. He daren’t risk taking her to the house or the compound yet. Not until he knew what place would be best. A little impromptu interrogation was on the cards. He wished it was a little impromptu fucking instead.

No such luck.
