Today I’m featuring on the awesome blogs of Doris O’Connor and Raven McAllan. On Doris’s site I’m answering questions and on here, well I’m taking over (cackles evilly) Mwah ha ha.

So my latest release is out today ‘The Schoolteacher and the Dom’ and it’s a part of Evernight Publishing’s Romance on the Go line. These are stories that range from 8k to 12k and you can read them in one sitting.  ‘The Schoolteacher and the Dom’ is at the higher end of that scale.

The idea for the story came from reading a lot of unrealistic BDSM books, which annoyed the hell out of me. There are a lot of books out there which are pretty faithful to the lifestyle. Doris O’Connor’s ‘Club Ink’ series is a prime example of how to get it right. It’s also why I sent this story to Doris first who acted as a Beta Reader for me.

‘The Schoolteacher and the Dom’ has very light elements of BDSM in it. Alec Winchester runs The Black Rose Club, the premier fetish club in New York. He is also a Dom without a Sub. One day, whilst having a lunch he meets Nola Pryce, a schoolteacher, who asks him to ring her phone and help her get out of a date with tall, dark and dull. It’s the start of something neither of them anticipated.

This is the first instalment of ‘The Black Rose Club’ series. The next one is being planned and hopefully I’ll have a draft soon. The working title is ‘All Tied Up’ and it’ll continue the story of Alex and Nola. I’ll also be writing a story about Madame Tease, who turns up in the story as well.

Here’s an excerpt.

He was nervous. I should have invited her on a normal date. This is going to freak her out. Alex looked over his club. A few acts were already starting. There were burlesque dancers, and a couple engaging in a little light BDSM. The woman was in a pair of reverse stocks, her lovely arse offered up to her partner’s tender mercies. It proved impossible to not think how Nola would look tied up in that contraption. Would she like having her arse teased and caressed? He wanted to know if she’d become wet as he teased her.

The forceful image left him feeling dazed. He was going to take this slow. He couldn’t introduce her to this way of life without building up the trust that existed between Dom and Sub. He couldn’t force it. He knew that but he couldn’t stop his imagination from running wild. Anyone looking at him would think that he was a man under tight control. Underneath that, he was a mess. It would get better. It would get better sooner if Nola was actually here.

Lilith had handled the decorations. There was a lot of black. It created an interesting effect, light reflecting off of black baubles. The tree was practically awe-inspiring. His business partner was full of surprises. The line between Lilith and Madame Tease never blurred. She said it was easier that way.

He had no idea what Nola would be wearing, and since everyone was wearing a mask, it made it doubly hard. He hardly noticed the man standing near him, dressed in a black suit, with white shirt and black tie. He looked smart, but he also stuck out like a sore thumb. It wouldn’t have worked if the security looked like the partygoers.

“Mister Winchester?”

“Yes?”

“That woman that you asked me to keep an eye out for, she arrived about ten minutes ago.”
