love in the sun...snow...wind...rain...

let's hop...

Romantic places...

Around the world. Spin the wheel and let's see where we end up.

I love travelling, and there are so many places in the world that I think are romantic. Not least my garden on a long hot summer evening, sitting with my hubby...Before the midges get out and biting. (In every Eden there is an snake)

I'm lucky. I only need to close my eyes and remember. There are so many places in the world that I have lovely romantic memories about. Sitting on a balcony, overlooking the Indian ocean, Watching stingrays swim between our legs in Australia. Even listening to the air (yes really) on top of the Great Wall of China.

Romantic, breathtaking, awesome and inspiring.

But it doesn't have to be somewhere far away, or posh.

to me, one of the most romantic places I've ever been, was a windswept beach, in Northumberland in mid winter. It wasn't snowing but oh boy was it cold. We went for a long walk and then went back to the car for our picnic.

Being the middle of the winter, you'd have thouht it would be soup and coffee wouldn't you?

Oh no, it was smoked salmon and a wee glass of champagne.

And a wedding proposal...

  1. I have a bit of a romantic fling with old steam trains and one of my favourite rendezvous would be meeting up with my partner, pretending to be strangers on a train, an almost clandestine meeting and a shy romantic kiss as we part ways. One day we intend to go is the Orient Express to Paris and maybe Vienna.

Thank you for the giveaway :)

  2. My destination would be Puerto Rico. It has gorgeous beaches and crystal clear blue water.

  3. I would go back to Germany. I liked seeing the history over there. I loved it over there and it was a great place for my hubby and I because we grew closer over there.

  4. My special place would be a cabin tucked away in the mountains with a few feet of snow and plenty of wood to keep the fire place burning with my sweetheart!
