Swept Away Valentine's Day blog hop

So when's your Valentines Day? is it February 14th, or is it every day? I reckon mine is the latter. My DH shows me everyday in lots of ways he loves me. And for someone who very rarely (if ever) says the words that's so beautiful.

How do you get swept away?

I get a card, and often a present. He has a knack of finding great off the wall cards for every occasion, not just Valentine's Day. He always adds some witty and pertinent words, as well as his love and kisses. He's a romantic, but not overtly so. And that's fine with me.

We can show our love in so many ways. from a touch or a smile, to a diamond ring and a week on a desert island. Even a cuppa when you're snowed under with work is a symbol of loving and caring. and these things can happen at anytime. and flowers..oh yeah, but not for a special occasion, for just because. Gets me every time

One of the nicest and silliest Valentine's cards I got was a beautiful picture of roses. I recognized it. I was sure it'd been in my card box the day before. Sure enough as I said ohh thank you it's lovely. Dh confessed. He'd forgotten the date, and our daughter had reminded him.I giggled, because he looked so sheepish. I loved him all the more for being honest, and for the lovely dinner he cooked later.

So how about you, what do you like? Is it all geared around the one special day, or in your life is every day Valentine's day?

To celebrate love, and all that goes with it, I'm giving away an ecopy of one of my books to a commenter. That person will be chosen at the end of the blog, on 18th February. So be sure to leave your email address, which book you'd like (there's a list on my web page, www.ravencallan.com ) and in what format.

Don't forget, to catch up with all the other great bloggers you can go to

I hope you all have a great day,

love R x

  1. Happy Valentines Day Raven :D

We tell each other we love each other everyday, but he makes it a little special on valentines day with flowers :) he doesn't do cards so we don't bother with those.

Hmmm...a copy of one of your books? Teaching Teacher looks good!

  7. I'm not a big Valentin's Day fan. I think a lot of people only buy things for show or because they feel pressured to.

  8. I'd like to read Riding Ryder. Thanks for the giveaway! As for the format, I'd go with Kindle gift or PDF if that's not possible.
