...And let's face it, sorry dear readers as well.
I am sorry and the but is hanging over me in the air.
But I've been absent due to a great big lack of words to write.
Anywhere.
When Cassie O'Brien and I finished writing this year's Christmas anthology—Mistletoe Kisses at Christmastime,
(Shameful plug here)
I was full of ideas for my next story.
Fired up and ready to go.
Or so I thought. But darn it the words would not flow.
And didn't and wouldn't and...
Talk about being frustrated. I re-read what I'd written. Like it. Put my fingers over the keyboard and—
And nothing. What I thought should come next sounded wrong. Looked wrong. So probably was wrong.
Sadly that lack of words stretched here as well.
Now, I decided there was two ways of approaching this blankness. Worry, or accept it was temporary (or so I hoped) and do other things.
I chose the latter.
Read a lot, tried to do some knitting, and did my best not to drop a stitch. (Because I can never pick one up properly) Baked, tidied the kitchen drawers, and yes, okay, did wonder if that mojo would ever come back.
Well, dear readers (if you've got this far without falling asleep), good ( I hope) news. The mojo is stirring. The words are forming, and my hero is shouting at me to get a move on.
So are a few more characters and ideas so without ado, I'm off to make them ( and me) happy.
I'll let you know how I go on.
Until then, happy reading,
love Raven xxx
